"What you doing here, boy"

Something that I experience this far during the trip was the lunch counter simulation in the Center of civil and human rights. I sat down at the lunch counter simulation. I put on the headphones, placed my hands on the counter, and closed my eyes. I became very nervous, voices in my ears, every kick I jump. Constantly hearing “ What you doing here, boy”. I began to feel uncomfortable, but I am glad that I was able to experience a little bit of how people who participated in the sit-ins felt. The fact that they continued to go sit in is unbelievable, amazing, and brave because I couldn’t handle the 1 minute 45 second of the simulation.
