Discipline

A strength the A&T Four had was discipline. With one of the men in ROTC, something that takes a lot of discipline, and the others taught it by their parents, they had the capacity to not physically fight back and stay calm at the counter. One power they had was they were backed up by their community and it helped ease them if something were to happen to them. Another strength was dedication, they came day after day and they did it till the store was closed that day. 

I think I have discipline but i don’t think I have the discipline of these men. These men put their lives on the line and risked it all for their freedom and for equality. A similarity I would have is the knowing I will be backed up. I feel if I did do something to help change something big to help the community I will be supported by my community. 

Sometime in the future maybe I would do something to help with unequal pay with women and men. It still is an issue to this day and i think something has to be done about it.
