The Courage to Act

The power that A&T Four had was the will power and courage to step in that store and sit at the counter, with the white folks. They knew that they had the right to sit at the counter. Since that they have eaten in that place before, they were prepared to defend their rights. Being served secondly, and after thought that they are lower than whites. Their act was able to inspire other college students to step up.I have the power to inspire others to think about and maybe act on what can be changed about the world. The ones the I lack is the courage to act, I’m afraid that things may go wrong or my action won’t do anything. Also another power I lack is will power. Knowing that if I keep at what I am doing and I know that it will change the situation. Me being negative about my ideas and how I will tackle them. That questions my will power. Some issues that I would challenge are work discrimination, housing discrimination, food deserts, poverty, LGBTQ+ rights, and racism.
