The A&T Four in their sit-in exemplified perseverance and resilience. Showing the ability to persevere through everything that was omnipresent around them. They didn’t allow anything outside of themselves to disturb what they had set out to accomplish.
One of the privileges that the A&T Four and I shared was the advantage of having is parents that instilled foundations in us that allowed us to grow into memorable people that will change our society. We were the seeds they watered as we grew into flowers.
One of many problems that I am willing to challenge in our society right now is police brutality. It’s just sad to think that little innocent children are being lynched in our streets by those who are meant to serve and protect them. While some of us think their killings are justifiable. One thing that will help me in my journey to overcome this issue is that I have the privilege to be apart of a wonderful community. In unity ,we are unstoppable. Nobody can do anything by themselves and I grateful to be apart of a supportive collective of people that can accomplish anything we put our mind to. We’ve come this far so what can’t we do.
